I have been driving home at night and been worried about how pedestrians can barely be seen, so I created this strap wrap. People may not want to wear a separate hi viz garment but if its attached to something they already have it would be more practical.

Full description
I wanted to make something for the darker nights and mornings, if you have to walk in the dark. Most people nowadays carry a bag, man bag, shoulder bag or school bag, so I created this wrap strap that you can attach to a bag you already carry.
Be safe, be seen. I have sewn this hi viz strap wrap, made from a weather durable black fabric and a light reflecting strip.
The wrap measures approx 98cmx11cm.
It has a 3cm hi viz strip along the outside(the same strip is used in my reflective strap bags in my Folksy shop), you wrap it around the strap of a bag you use on a daily basis when you know you will be walking in the dark and need to be seen when crossing a road.
Car lights reflect the strip making you more visible to drivers.
The strap is held on by sections of hook and loop, and can wrap around a strap about 4cm wide. It is nearly 1 metre long so the high viz will cover the back and front of you if you wear your bag strap across the body.
This helps with the safety aspect of walking in the dark and it can be removed as and when you like.
The example bag used in the photo has a thin strap but the sturdiness of the hook and loop makes it fit nicely.
