We've all experienced those early autumn mornings when there's just a touch of frost - not enough to start the leaves falling, but just enough to persuade the trees to open their wardrobe of autumn colours. It's time to find a little extra warmth to wrap across your chest under your coat. I've put this in to Folksy's Seconds Sunday as I didn't spin enough Merino wool fibre in these three colourways to weave this scarf into a longer length! My fault: I got too enthusiastic about colour and feel!

Inspired by fresh, sparkling autumn mornings when some leaves are still green and some are just starting to turn, this is a chest-warmer type scarf, very short, which will make a cross once across your chest. It is made of hand-spun and hand-woven merino wool. Length is 76cm without tassles (that's around 30 inches), and width is 19cm (roughly 7.5 inches). Hand-wash gently in cool water with a 'silk & wool' type washing liquid and dry flat.
