I have been looking for ways to reduce our use of cling film. As there's only 2 of us in the house we often have leftovers. When I started working with PUL fabric I realised that this is the ideal fabric to use for covering bowls of leftovers in a way that is sustainable and eco-friendly.

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

I have sold lots of sets of three bowl covers. However in the current financial climate it seems sensible to offer people the chance to buy nice things in smaller quantities and at lower prices. Hence I am now offering single covers or sets of two.
Bowl covers are ideal for keeping left-overs fresh in the fridge, keeping flies off buffets or thawing meat or for keeping bread dough cosy. They can be used in the fridge or freezer but not microwave. They are hand or machine washable.
This listing is for a single bowl cover made from a gorgeous blue, chicken design. The outer fabric is 100% cotton and the lining white PUL fabric (see below). It is elasticated to ensure a close and secure fit on your chosen container. The cover will fit bowls up to about 20cm in diameter.
PUL stands for Polyurethane Laminate. This is a soft, waterproof and breathable fabric that has been manufactured in an environmentally friendly way. It is safe for food use as it does not give off any toxic chemicals and will keep food fresh and safe from contamination. The waterproofing comes from a thin layer of plastic which has been bonded to polyester fabric. It has been tested for at least 300 washes. Whilst the fabric is not totally plastic free, using these products could significantly reduce your use of plastic bags, boxes and films.
