Happy new year! We hope that 2025 is a good one for all of our customers. Our shop is currently quite depleted but the new sewing machine will soon be in action and new stock will be added as it is made. Send a message if you're looking for something in particular.
Sadly, given the new regulations, we are no longer able to sell to customers in Northern Ireland.
In this shop you will find a variety of household items and gifts, mostly with an Eco-focus - things that can be used and reused without costing the planet or emptying your wallet. We use up scraps, repurpose materials and prioritise natural new materials. We love colour and our products are attractive, environmentally friendly and useful. We don’t want to be preachy - just to make things that are a pleasure to use.

I have been looking for ways to reduce our use of cling film. As there's only 2 of us in the house we often have leftovers. When I started working with PUL fabric I realised that this is the ideal fabric to use for covering bowls of leftovers in a way that is sustainable and eco-friendly.

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
These classy bowl covers will be a stylish addition to your kitchen. They not only look great but are perfect for keeping food fresh and helping reduce usage of cling film and plastic bags. Use them to cover bowls of leftovers in the fridge, keep flies off salads before serving, cover thawing food or rising bread dough. They are made from attractive cotton lined with beige PUL – more details below. The elastic hem holds the cover securely on your chosen bowl. They can be used in the fridge or freezer but not the microwave. If soiled, the lining can be wiped clean or the whole cover can be washed in the washing machine and air dried – much more hygienic than beeswax wraps.
This set of 2 covers will fit bowls approximately 19cm and 16cm (7.5" and 6"). They are made from 2 co-ordinating fabrics. One is navy, decorated with a yellow floral design .The other is yellow with a blue floral design. The PUL lining is plain beige.
This item will sent using standard Second Class post unless you choose otherwise in the options. We often use recycled packaging.
PUL stands for Polyurethane Laminate. It is a soft, waterproof and breathable fabric, manufactured in an environmentally friendly way. The waterproofing comes from a thin layer of plastic which has been bonded to polyester fabric. It is safe for food use and has been tested for at least 300 washes. Whilst the fabric is not totally plastic free, using these products could significantly reduce your use of single use plastics.
