I cut and polish my own fordite, surfite and bowlerite, I'm happy to take commissions.

Full description
These statement earrings have an eye catching asymmetric design of oblongs of fordite and textured squares of sterling silver, they have a post and scroll fitting. One earring has the fordite oblong at the top with the articulated silver square hanging beneath it, the other earring has the silver square at the top with the fordite articulating beneath. These fordite earrings are large (approx 61mm by 15mm) but fordite is lightweight so they would be comfy to wear all day. The fordite has a pattern of concentric oblongs, they have quite a dark colour palette which makes the white rings stand out all the more, there are sparkly red, grey and blue rings as well.
Not come across fordite before? Its layers of over spray paint that builds up in spray booths at car factories, the build up gets baked in the curing ovens in between each layer of paint giving a hard material that can be cut to show the many different colours in it. This particular material came from Jeep's factory in Toledo in 2021 (the piece of rough contains gecko green which was only produced in 2021 but it is not in these earrings) and I cut and polish the material myself and you can see the rough in some of the pictures (not included).
