Full description

A fabulous ocean view created using silk fabric and woollen fibres. This textile picture has been created by needle felting strips of coloured silk fabrics and various silk and woollen fibres onto a piece of backing felt. This process binds the fabric and fibres to the backing felt and also creates a gorgeous texture to the picture. Some of the raw edges of the fabric left exposed in places to add to the artwork. A final strip of green fringing has been added across the bottom of the picture to create the grass. No stitching has been used in the creation of this picture. .

The final piece has been framed in a wooden frame with a picture area of approximately 4.5" x 5". Please note, photographs of the framed piece have been taken with the glass removed to avoid reflections.
