Aquamarine, named from the Latin for seawater, is the pale blue-to-blue-green member of the beryl family.
In folklore it is linked to the sea.
It was believed to calm the waves and bring protection and good luck to sailors and fishermen.
Aquamarine is the birthstone for March and Pisces, and the stone for the 19th wedding anniversary.

Beautifully sparkly sterling silver earrings that feature a 9mm x6mm Swarovski crystal teardrop in a colour called "aquamarine", topped with two 4mm white mother-of-pearl beads separated by a Swarovski 4mm "aquamarine" bicone.
The beads are threaded onto sterling silver pins and attached to sterling silver ear-wires that are stamped "925".
These earrings measure approximately 1 inch (2.5cm) excluding the wires.
Presented in a small organza gift bag.
