All of the serving boards that I make are made from offcuts. This board was made from the end of a larger board that was used in making a piece of furniture.
It allows me to get the most from the timber that I use. The offcuts would have been thrown away otherwise.

Wood is a natural product that continues to move. It moves with the seasons, and in modern times, moves with the central heating! When making things from wood, I try and allow for the movement when designing. But it doesn't always work....so if a small crack appears, it's just the wood doing it's thing.

Full description
Ideal for serving canapes or as a cheese board, this small serving platter is made from a piece of natural edged ash.
The long edges are kept from the natural shape of the original board. All of the edges are lightly shaped to soften them.
It is 300mm long, 230 wide, 25mm thick.
A leather strap is fixed to one end to allow for hanging, or for holding when used as a serving board.
On the underside are for small rubber feet to help protect any surfaces the board is place upon.
The board is treated with a combination of food safe natural oils and wax.
