Amethyst is the birthstone for Aquarius and February, and the stone for the 6th and 33rd wedding anniversary.
It is also associated with St Valentine, who married young soldiers at a time when such marriages had been outlawed by Emperor Claudius II, who believed unwed men made better warriors.
It is said that Valentine wore an Amethyst ring engraved with a cupid so that the soldiers could recognise him.
Valentine was martyred on 14th February 269, and canonised in 496.

Full description
Translucent 6mm amethyst beads with milky swirls, flanked by Swarovski "light amethyst" bicones highlighted with gold vermeil form the focal of this stretch bracelet.
The bracelet graduates to 4mm amethyst in a deeper shade of purple and 4mm cream-and -white mother of pearl beads that add a subtle shimmer.
Tiny gold vermeil beads mark the changes in colour and add warmth and shine.
This bracelet measures approximately 7 inches (17.5cm).
Presented in a small organza bag.
