A hand embroidered unique pincushion in plums. Hand sewn pin cushion created by Bearlescent
This listing is for a cupcake style unique pin cushion, designed and created by myself.
Measures approx 4" diameter around top of wooden bowl.
Hand sewn onto natural silk noil fabric with cotton backing.
I have used various plum colours, a lovely wreath of flowers which have been hand embroidered using DMC and Perle cotton threads with various stitches.
Filled very firmly with super polyester filling, a cotton form was made, filled and laced into shape then the embroidered silk complete with cotton backing was laced over the form as tightly as possible to minimise creasing around the gathered fabric.
Fitted to a 4" natural beech wooden bowl then decorated with crochet lace and a ribbon tied into a small bow.
My pincushions have 3 layers of fabric to ensure a long life.
Made for the crafter, someone who loves to sew, this would make a lovely keepsake gift.
This will be posted by Royal Mail 2nd class parcel post and will require a signature upon delivery.
