April 2025: Welcome to my shop! There's a mixture of handmade fabric goods - patchwork quilts, bags, table runners and more! All made from high quality fabrics in my smoke-free, pet-free home sewing studio.
Working in a fabric shop I couldn't help but be fascinated by all the intriguing bag 'hardware'. I've thoroughly enjoyed making this bag in understated colours that is given style by the burnished brass coloured metal clasps.

Full description
A crossbody purse bag featuring a delicate Japanese cotton print with ditsy flowers and foliage in dark beige and dark red on a charcoal background. I have chosen a cotton print for the gusset in a mid brown to blend with the dark beige in the Japanese print. The bag interior and pocket linings are also 100% cotton in a lighter beige with a squiggly pattern in brown.
The bag has a zipped pocket on the exterior back. The flap is secured with a sweet heart-shaped metal twist clasp. The strap is made from the Japanese print and is attached to the bag with metal swivel lobster clasps. The strap is adjustable to a maximum length of 126cm (50").
The bag is fully lined. There is a zipper pocket on the inner back panel and a holder for credit cards on the inner front panel.
Hidden between the exterior and lining are layers of interfacing and foam interlining which give the bag structure whilst keeping it feeling soft to touch. The bag is lightweight and comfortable to wear. It measures 20cm high by 27cm wide (max) and 6cm deep (8" high x 10.5" wide x 2.5" deep).
