I cut and polish my own fordite, surfite and bowlerite, I'm happy to take commissions.

Full description
These striking cufflinks feature oval cabochons of corvette fordite smoothly bezel set and finished with sterling silver swivel fittings. Corvette fordite has a characteristic colour palette dominated by rich reds and a swirly pattern in sparkly blue and silver with a little yellow. The cufflinks have a standard swivel fitting making them easy to put on and the rounded shape and profile make them comfortable to wear under jackets. They measure approx 20mm by 15mm (they don't quite match) and come gift boxed, my fordite cufflinks have proven to be a popular wedding anniversary gift.
Fordite is layers of cured car paint which builds up in the spray booths getting baked hard in between each colour. I bought the rough material these cabochons were cut from direct from a guy who worked at the Corvette factory in Bowling Green, Kentucky, about 5 years ago and it has been sat in my stash waiting for me to do something with it. if you love the idea of fordite but want something else drop me a message I have quite a stash of different roughs.
