Full description
This beautiful hand crafted rollerball pen has shards of real limpet sea shells within the cap and barrel, and the stainless steel components are entirely British made. I collected the shells from the beach at Bursay on the west coast of Orkney on a very cold day late last winter, but I created the pen in early April when the first spring flowers were beginning to bloom, giving me the idea for the lemon-yellow colour for the resin. The barrel is widest at the centre, helping the pen sit comfortably in your hand. The tip section, which unscrews to change the Schneider Topball style refill, is very slender with a narrow waist perfectly positioned for your finger-tips. The pen is 133mm long overall, 124mm with the cap removed for writing, and 17mm at its widest and weighs 40g with the cap removed.
