This is a variation on my very popular meadow pieces. This accompanies the candle holders, arches and waves. Each piece is slightly different and they continue to change each time I buy more glass supplies and am enticed with other colours!

This colourful summer meadow glass candle screen has been created first by forming powdered glass into the flowers and ladybird and placing into the kiln for the first fire. Then a base of clear glass measuring 11cm x 10cm was cut, hand crushed frit was sprinkled, glass stringers were shaped into stems, and then the flowers, leaves and bug were arranged. It was then placed back in the kiln and carefully heated to 740 degrees Celsius to allow the embellishments to tack to the base, whilst not affecting the finish of the embellishments.
It is then slotted into a handmade wooden stand crafted from redwood and polished to a smooth finish. It has a hole deep enough for a tealight candle to light up the scene. The stand itself measures approximately 10cm square and 4cm high. This piece has been made by my Dad in his workshop.
Price includes postage within the UK.
