Wavy Stick Shuttle in Pine Wood.
This useful hand weaver's tool has been handcrafted. It is made of pine wood, it is sturdy and smooth with large slots at each end to allow for thicker handspun yarns to be used.
Each side of the shuttle has been shaped to allow the weaver two options : a longer wavy curve line for the weft or a deeper closer wavy curve.
Great to use with a Saori, Rigid Heddle, Table or Floor Loom.
The stick is loaded and wound with weft thread, passed through the warp threads on your loom. Then instead of beating the fell of the cloth with the reed/ beater you use the stick to shape the weft.
A wonderful tool to help create free style art weaving, patterns, texture, colour and originality to your woven cloth .
