Here is another of those amazing pieces of home made embroidery, stitched so beautifully by an anonymous seamstress. Although some of it was past repair, the four corners were still intact, and I am working my way around them all, giving them a bit of new life. This is no 3.

Full description
This clutch bag or cosmetics bag is made from a wonderful embroidered vintage table cloth. Its best fine dining days are over, but the four embroidered corners are all in great condition. This is one of them! There is a pretty spray of pink flowers across the front with smaller flowers along two sides, and a scattering of vintage buttons in the top corner. Pretty as well as practical, it can be used as a little clutch bag, or for storing make up, cosmetics or special memories.
It would make a great present for someone learning to embroider, for a vintage fabrics fan, or or someone needing a virtual hug right now.
The bag front has been backed onto cotton to strengthen it, but it is still a soft little bag. There are 5 buttons stitched on the front.
It measures appox 19 cm by 19 cm with a 19 cm bright blue zip opening, that pulls shut with an embroidered flower head.
The back is made from a beige linen cotton mix, and the lining is a fine striped lilac polyester.
There is a handle, so it can be used as a little clutch bag for special occasions, or hooked up somewhere nice to admire the stitching. It is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
Can be washed on a cool short cycle, and dried naturally.
I like to reuse if I can. Your bag will be packaged in clean, recycled wrapping from my hoard, and sent by royal Mail 2nd class.
