Hello and welcome. I make jewellery out of hand rolled paper beads which I sell in aid of the St Wilfrid's centre for vulnerable and homeless adults. Check out their website https://www.stwilfridscentre.org/
I use recycled paper and I get inspiration from the colour of the paper and whichever pre-loved beads I could find to complement my design - This means that no two pieces are alike.
I add new creations every few weeks, so please feel free to come and browse again and again for that one-of-a-kind piece. If you like what you see and want to buy more than one piece, then please let me know as I am very happy to combine postage for you.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
A chunky but very light paper beaded necklace. Made with an old Ordnance Survey map of Birmingham which was cut into strips and handrolled into tubular beads of different sizes which were then varnished. Complemented with round burnt orange wooden beads. Just under 22 cm in drop from the tip of the gold plated claw clasp to the bottom of the middle bead. Can be worn longer thanks to the extension chain which has a cute little heart at the end of it.
The larger central bead shows part of the name Birmingham. Some of the beads show names of places in Birmingham such as Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Stourbridge and Walsall.
Ideal present for someone who has a special attachment to Birmingham or who simply likes maps.
I sell matching earrings in my shop. Should you wish to purchase the set (displayed on last couple of photos), I would be very happy to combine postage.
Please note that, as I work with recycled paper, and with whatever design is on a page, the beads are not identical.
My jewellery is sold in aid of the St Wilfrid's centre for vulnerable, socially excluded and homeless adults.
