I was inspired by the MacKenzie-Childs homeware patterns, with their bright designs and chequerboard motifs to create this eye-catching hat.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
This bright and colourful hat has been designed in 3 sizes, from 19" to 24.5", and is knit in the round, so there are no seams. The hat is knit in DK weight premium acrylic yarn and has a roll up brim, 2 colour rib, garter ridges and fair isle panels. There are decorative French knots and an i-cord top knot to complete the hat.
Materials required to knit this pattern are a 3.75mm circular needle, a set of 3.75mm DPN's and 7 colours of approximately 25g each of DK yarn.
My pattern is written so it is very easy to understand. It is ideal for an intermediate knitter or a beginner who has knitted a few items, and knows how to cast on, knit, knit in the round, decrease and follow a simple colour chart.
There are no postage costs - the pattern will be emailed as a pdf file within 3 days of payment being received, to the email address registered with Folksy unless you let me know otherwise. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open this pdf file. (It is free to download from www.adobe.com)
Please remember to check your junk mail box in case the emailed pattern arrives there.
I aim to write my patterns correctly, however, should you spot an error please let me know!
Please note this is just a knitting pattern and not the finished item.
This pattern is sold for personal use only and may not be sold or distributed without author’s permission.
