Hello and welcome to my Folksy shop! I've been making for others since 2013 and if you'd like to see what my customers have said about my work since then (before I opened up here on Folksy), you can read more than 1,000 reviews on my web site: http://www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk/ (click 'Reviews' on the bar at the top of the page).
In addition to the UK, I'm happy to ship most items to the US, Canada, Japan and Australia - just message me for a shipping quotation if a shipping price isn't shown against an item you're interested in. Please note that all US shipping prices shown DO NOT include tracking. If you'd like your package sent with tracking, please message me for a quotation.
Many of the pieces I make are made to order and the shipping time is a 'worse case scenario' estimate - I will often make and send items quicker than indicated, although things do sometimes slow down at busy times. If you want something urgently, just message me and I'll confirm if I can meet your deadline. Some items over £30 are posted via the 'Tracked 24' Royal Mail service automatically, but if you'd like to make sure you have this on your order, just message me.

Every organised woman has the wherewithall within her handbag to sew on a button or make a quick running repair in an emergency while travelling. Not every woman keeps this wherewithall in a pretty sewing case!
I've been making sewing cases for a while now and this one is my very latest design, which offers a good amount of storage space in a very small area. I've done away with the scissor keep pocket at the back of my usual case design and replaced it with a large divided pocket, which better allows for use of your own scissors, if you don't want to buy the case with the ones I offer.
You'll find a range of different sewing cases in my shop and most of them began life when I was inspired by the fabrics they're made with, but this one began life with the beautiful little vintage black buttons that I use as an anchor for a scissor fob inside the case. I only have 6 of these buttons, so that's how many of this particular case I'll be making.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
The case is machine & hand stitched using a classic Liberty Tana Lawn print called 'Faria' - a sophistocated floral in a rich mix of colours on a black background. The lining is made with a Metallic Essex Linen in an Onyx black, shot through with silver metallic threads, which is difficult to catch on camera, but you can probably see best in the 5th photograph. The closure is a metal snap, with another metal snap closing on the front internal pocket. There's another larger pocket at the back of the case, which is divided into two - one side designed to fit a pair of small scissors and the other, a slim pincushion. Both of the pockets are decorated with machine embroidery and the vintage button, perfectly placed to use as an anchor for your scissor fob cord.
The central felt pages for needles and pins are blended wool felt in black. The outer, lining and pockets of the case are interfaced with woven cotton to add strength and give structure, and the outer is also softly padded with fusible fleece.
You can purchase the case with or without sewing tools, which include really good quality mini scissors. The scissors are attached to a matching pincushion with a crocheted perle cotton cord, which acts as a scissor fob to stop your scissors from wandering too far! There are some pretty pins, safety pins, three high quality John James sewing needles, a needle threader and a card wrapped with white, black, red and beige thread. The case when closed is 4.25 high, by 4.5 inches.
