Full description
A profusion of pink roses, daisies and hollyhocks have been hand embroidered onto this very pretty, small hanging.
Using an embellisher machine, hand-dyed fibres have been felted to commercial felt to create the background for this hanging. The larger roses and leaves have also been felted in place and thier details added with hand embroidery. Further roses, hollyhocks, foliage and daisies have been stitched in wool and cotton threads. The felted panel has been appliqued to a panel of calico. This has been backed by a layer of wadding and the edge of the 'frame' has been quilted.
The back of the hanging has been neatened with a panel of fabric. A hanging loop of blanket-sticthed cotton thread is securely stitched in place.
Please note: Easel not included.
Also Note: The calico on which the felted panel is mounted is a natural, un-bleached cotton fabric. It is normal for small brown flecks to be visible in calico.
