Who doesn't love an old fashioned funfair? I love the bright swing-boats on Weymouth Beach and Carter's Steam Fair. I'm also a big fan of The Grosvenor School of printmakers, whose ground-breaking, futuristic, lino-cuts celebrated the Moderne and Deco age.

Full description

A bright and optimistic fairground themed lino-cut with period letterpress poster type from my collection and printed on my 1950s Vandercook proof press. This is made from three different colour blocks with no separate outline, in the style of London's 1930s Grosvenor School of printmakers. Far more complicated than a reduction block, where part of the block is cut away for each colour pass, but gives an added dynamism!

Paper: white 300 gsm White Somerset Satin. 33 x 56cm. Due to the nature of the printing process, there is some variation in colour throughout the run.

The poster will be carefully rolled and mailed Royal Mail Standard 1st Class, in a tube. If you require Royal Mail Signed For, or a different level of delivery service, please contact me.
