Hello! I am a freelance artist & illustrator, whose work is created using a mixture of chalk pastel, pencil and coloured pencil. I sell Giclee Art prints, drawings, greeting cards, wrapping paper, stickers, ceramic ornaments and coasters, tote bags and wall calendars - all featuring my illustrations!

About this Elephant Art Print:
I used coloured pencil, pencil and chalk pastel to create this powerful and surreal illustration, "Matriarch".
Limited edition of 300
Signed, titled and numbered, with a white border (please refer to 2nd picture)
This is a Fine Art professional inkjet Giclee Print on Hahnemuhle Photorag 308 gsm paper
Paper size is 297 x 420 mm
The print can be personalised - I can add "To..." - just let me know!
Inspiration for this African elephant art piece:
Symbolising many admirable qualities such as strength, power, wisdom, patience and memory, elephants are well known to enjoy close family ties, guided by the Matriarch, leader of the herd. Females remain with their Matriarch led families for their whole life. I chose to use surreal art elements to communicate that sense of love and a deep connectedness with her family. My main visual references for this piece were older female African elephants.
Due to the themes expressed through this piece, it makes a lovely gift for mum or a grandmother!
