I find it hard to resist bright colours, and wanted to combine as many as possible using the glass tapestry technique. These colours just sang to me so I had to use them!

This vibrant tapestry patterned plate has been created over 4 different kiln firings. First, individual strings of glass were fused to a clear base, before being cut into strips to allow the construction of the pattern, which is then surrounded with a cobalt blue glass border. This is fired into one solid piece, allowed to slowly cool and then the edges have been coldworked to smooth out to a seamless line. A futher fire polish firing is required to polish the edges before a final slump firing to create the plate shape.
It measures approx 143mm x 231mm and stands approx 30mm high.
Price includes postage within the UK. Please contact me direct for postage costs outside of the UK and I will be happy to help.
