I've had this piece of driftwood since earlier in the spring, bleached it, dried it and considered what to do with it. Now the weather has improved it seemed like a good time to show the wood off together with the sea glass by making a suncatcher for the garden or hung against a window.
This is such an interesting shaped piece of wood, very different to the bits I usually find on the beach. It is very dense, making attaching the hooks quite hard for my old fingers. I hope you like the end result.

A suncatcher for the garden or a window made from a strange, gnarled and very dense piece of driftwood, home bleached, with three chain strands holding seaglass to catch the light. Bleaching the wood ensures any bugs are removed from the wood. This is a complete one-off piece due to the beach combing elements.
The two main "branches" are 10.5ins and 7 ins from the top. The three chain strands are approx 13, 12 and 10.75 ins. Longest drop is 22ins from top of wood to bottom of lowest piece of glass.
Due to its shape and weight, this will be dispatched by Royal Mail 2nd class small parcel post.
