I have visited Japan five times and have a collection of vintage kimonos and fabrics, mostly silk to create my textile art. I am inspired by the art and culture of Japan and the attention to detail. The fabric is beautiful with wonderful colours and designs.

Full description
Meet Yoko. This geisha picture is made from Japanese kimono silk remnants. The technique is applique with free motion machine embroidery. I stretched the piece over a wooden frame like a canvas and the reverse is hand finished and lined. It has a hanging loop. It comes in a navy blue presentation box. It can be displayed in the box, on a shelf, or hung on the wall. It can be framed if desired. It measures 13 x 15 cm. It is an original design.
