Hello and welcome to my Folksy shop! I've been making for others since 2013 and if you'd like to see what my customers have said about my work since then (before I opened up here on Folksy), you can read more than 1,000 reviews on my web site: http://www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk/ (click 'Reviews' on the bar at the top of the page).
In addition to the UK, I'm happy to ship most items to the US, Canada, Japan and Australia - just message me for a shipping quotation if a shipping price isn't shown against an item you're interested in. Please note that all US shipping prices shown DO NOT include tracking. If you'd like your package sent with tracking, please message me for a quotation.
Many of the pieces I make are made to order and the shipping time is a 'worse case scenario' estimate - I will often make and send items quicker than indicated, although things do sometimes slow down at busy times. If you want something urgently, just message me and I'll confirm if I can meet your deadline. Some items over £30 are posted via the 'Tracked 24' Royal Mail service automatically, but if you'd like to make sure you have this on your order, just message me.

My name's Debbie and I'm a cowlaholic. I've been designing, knitting and wearing cowls for years - I just love how simple and tidy they are to wear with no 'ends' to come undone! At the same time, the possibilities for shape, size, pattern and wearability are endless. Most of my cowl designs start with the yarn I'm using - the way different yarns drape, behave and feel only becomes obvious when you've made something with them, so I have to kiss a lot of frogs before I find just the right shape for each yarn to become!

This is such a simple 3x3 rib cowl, which I'm calling (strangely...) 'The 3 Rib Cowl'. The ribs mean that there is some elasticity to the cowl and it can be worn in a number of ways, but is really perfect to wear under a coat or jacket with minimal added bulk. I also like to wear a smaller cowl like this one around the house in the colder months - when my neck's warm, I generally feel warmer all over!
I've hand knit the cowl in Rowan's Kidsilk Haze Trio, which comprises three strands of Rowan's ever popular Kidsilk Haze spun together to make a beautiful soft and lightweight yarn. Trio offers all the softness of Kidsilk Haze in a heavier yet lightweight yarn with an amazingly soft handle and pretty mohair halo.
The colour of this piece is 'Alder', which is a mixture of pretty blue shades. The form that the cowl if modelled on here has a 38 inch (96.5cm bust) - to give you some idea of fit. I've cast on one edge using a really elastic method and the other was cast off on slightly larger needles, which means that you get maximum shapeability!
