G'Day and welcome to my shop of jewellery delights! Wishing all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Processing times are extended over Christmas and New Year.

ATTENTION: Due to the new EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) rules coming into force from 13 December, I will no longer be shipping to any EU country, which also includes Northern Ireland. I'm a HUGE science geek, so got so excited when I saw this and some other science related fabric!!

Here’s your little history & science lesson: Silver or its latin name Argentum (this is where its chemical symbol derives from!) means shiny or white - yes natural silver is white and it is only when polished that it shows a shiny silver finish!
Apart from being used for jewellery and currency, silver has also been used in medicine due to its antibacterial properties and for cutlery and dinnerware possibly for the same reason (but during the Tudor, Elizabethan and later periods probably more for status!) In folklore, silver was commonly thought to have mystic powers: for example, a bullet cast from silver is often supposed to be the only weapon that's effective against a werewolf!

As this is made from 100% cotton fabric, it is also ideal for a 2nd wedding anniversary present!

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

Full description

Here is a little fun bit of jewellery from me - a 'silver' pendant! One for all the science geeks out there, this pendant is created from 100% cotton printed fabric featuring elements from the periodic table - in this particular instance it is for Silver.

This fabric has a white background, with hexagonal orange and black lines surrounding the element's name. At the top: Silver's atomic number (47), followed by its symbol, Ag, its name, then finally underneath, Silver's atomic mass (107.868).

I've created a handmade flat backed button using this beautiful fabric and aluminium button blanks. Then, I selected a silver plated round pendant blank for the button to sit inside it and secured with jeweller’s grade glue.

The fabric button itself measures 38mm, but set within the pendant surround measures 4cm wide by 5cm long – this includes the bail. I have added a silver plated 18 inch (45 cm) flat oval trace chain, the links of the chain measure 4.5 x 3 mm and there’s a 12mm lobster clasp at one end, with a jump ring at the other (it can be adjustable as the lobster clasp does fit inside the chain links. The chain and pendant blank are both nickel and lead free.

This lovely unique pendant will come to you safe and carefully packaged in a UK Made eco-friendly recycled kraft card jewellery box (hand-folded by me!) - perfect for gifting (or as a treat for yourself!)

Created as a one-off, no defects.
