I'm selling off some of my collection of unusual beads to make some space in my workshop, so if you love beads, please take a look

I was able to buy a number of matching antique trade beads and so I thought a matching set would be something special. The are quite chunky so would suit a man but would also appeal to women.

Full description

Design: Necklace with rare antique trade beads and handmade brass beads from Ghana. Please see the photos of the matching bracelet. These can be bought separately or as a set.

Beads: The red and white beads are very old trade beads, most probably made in or around Venice between 1880 and 1920. As such they can be expected to show signs of age with minor scuffs and chips. These beads are becoming increasingly rare. They have been strung with some Ghanaian beads made from recycled brass using the 'lost wax' method which means each is made from a one-off mould and so is quite unique. I have chosen a good quality thick cotton cord rather than leather.

Fastening: The necklace is finished with a handmade brass hook and rings, also from Ghana. Please take a look at my other unique pieces of African beaded jewellery.

Gifts: I can send to another address and include a handwritten message if requested.

Postage: I can usually post within 24 hours.

Presentation: Your purchase will be sent in a presentation bag inside a mailing box.

Environment: All of my outer packaging is either recycled or reusable.
