I have been experimenting with various types of fabric paint, crayons and dyes. I revisited some panels of hand painted fabric. Winter designs featuring two very tiny robins were popular and this design has evolved from those.

Full description
A spring bookmark featuring two very tiny blue tits snuggled together under a blossom laden tree, in a design painted and stitched onto fabric and backed with felt.
Fabric paints were used to paint a basic meadows and sky landscape onto white fabric, allowing the adjacent areas of wet paint to merge and blend. The design was enhanced with some very simple embroidery featuring a tree with blossom, a fence and the blue tits. A fine sewing cotton has been used to blanket stitch around the edge of the bookmark which has been backed with a layer of felt.
The bookmark has been completed by the addition of blue ribbon tails.
Length of embroidered panel - 13 cm approx.
Total length - 19.5 cm approx.
