Full description

Two 1955 "silver" sixpences (6d) with a paw cut-out of each with a fine-bladed jewellery saw. Just over 1.5cms across. By this time, these sixpences were made from nickel. Finished with sterling silver ear wires.

Despatched in a presentation box via the Royal Mail Signed For service in the UK.

Recycled and crafted in Lancashire.

FYI - these 1955 "silver" sixpences were no longer silver by this time. Up to 1920, they were made of 92.5% silver; 1920-1946, they were 50% silver; from 1947 until the end of circulation they were made up of 75% copper & 25% nickel. Unfortunately the very few that I have that are really silver are in too bad a condition to consider using. These that I have used are not mint but they are in a very good condition.

Designed by Silvana Briers in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Lancashire
