All my jewellery listed here is sterling silver except for the silver plated upcycled cutlery collection. There will be elements of sterling silver in every design (except keyrings), some will be completely so, others may have combinations of copper, brass, bronze, glass, enamel, pewter, resin, upcycled biscuit tins and pre-decimal coins and/or semi-precious stones as well. Many of the designs are one-of-a-kind.

Full description

Using the prongs of a Viners EPNS (see below) Super A fork and shortening them, I've cut a cat face and body out of the remains of the base. It is 6cms long and weighs 21g.

An 18 inch leather thong is included in the price, grey or black, please specify at checkout.

Despatched in tissue paper in an organza bag via the Royal Mail Tracked 48 service. A small silver polishing cloth will be included.

I use silver plate/stainless steel cutlery for 3 reasons. Firstly it is cheaper and easier to come by than the sterling silver. Secondly, it might need to be sent to the Assay Office again. So, more expensive to buy in the first place and then more to be hallmarked. Finally, there is likely to be minor imperfections in the finish, after all, if they've been used for the purpose they were made for, then they will have! So overall, if you are buying an upcycled secondhand piece of cutlery, the cost of a sterling silver version might well feel prohibitive.

N.B. EPNS means Electroplated Nickel Silver. Nickel silver has no silver in it, only nickel, zinc & copper
