A beautifully soft, alpaca blend yarn, flecked in primary colours, has been used to knit a background for a garland of cream and gold roses to form this embroidered cuff.
The background of this cuff has been hand knitted in an alpaca blend yarn using a lace stitch for textural interest. The colour of the background is a very dark navy. The stitch chosen results in pretty scalloped edges to the cuff. The central part of the background has been backed by fabric to give a slightly firmer foundation for the embroidery. The roses have been stitched, using ribbon embroidery techniques, using strips of fabric in metallic gold and cream. Pure wools and cottons have been used to stitch leaves and berries. Rose buds have been added in ivory silk ribbon and a gold thread has been used for a sprinkling of small 'baubles'.
The cuff is lined with a green patterned satin ribbon. The cuff closes with a crocheted loop over a navy button.
Length of knitted panel: 21 cm approx.
Length of cuff (with button as set) : 18.5 cm approx ( the button may be moved to fit - up to 21 cm wrist - please message me at purchase)

Items of embroidered jewelry may not be entirely colourfast and care should be taken that jewlery items do not get wet in use in case colour should be transferred to items of clothing.
