The stag in Celtic mythology is a symbol of the forest, in some Irish and Scottish folklore they
were seen as 'faery cattle' i can totally see why.
The faery stag leapt up wowards the moon, i love this animal so much i cant help but keep making them. I have made the 'faery stag' due to popular demand, it seems others love a stag as much as I do.
This piece is hand and machind stitched, hand stained and painted to give him an old primitive feel. He has silver metal antlers and a wool tail as well as embroidered stars and around his neck a little rusty tin bell. He has an 1930's shirt button on each leg.
If its a lovingly hand made original piece your after this could be just the perfect gift for you or someone you love,
This piece measures: 29x32cm approx
