I love stitching miniature landscapes and the tiny birds and animals add a little character to the designs.

A pretty winter landscape with a tiny robin, distant sheep and berried holly all set in appliqued fields of vintage fabric, forms the design on this hand-stitched fabric brooch.
Scraps of vintage fabric have been hand-stitched to a blue background fabric. Tiny trees, sheep fence, holly and a cheeky little robin have been embroidered in a mixture of thread and wools. The completed design has been reinforced by plastic cut from a recycled bottle. The design has been framed by couching over a yarn of mixed green shades. The back of the brooch is neatened by a layer of felt and a brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
Width - 7 cm approx
