Arctic terns are beautiful and elegant! However I had forgotten how difficult the cross wing feathers are to carve and it very nearly ended up as firewood!!

Full description
This sitting arctic tern has been hand carved from wood. It has crossed wing feather detail and an open beak. It has hand tinted glass eyes and has been painted with artists acrylics and finished with wax giving a soft shine. It is mounted on a simple white painted wood base. It is 28cm from beak to tail,12.5cm tall and 6cm deep.
