This little dunlin may be sleepy but it still has its eye on you! After 2 years of DIY following a house move, it is lovely to make one of my favourite birds again.

Full description
This little dunlin is hand carved from jelutong and painted with several layers of acrylic paint to build up the colour. It has hand coloured glass eyes and is finished to a soft shine with wax. it is mounted on a section of driftwood and is 13cm tall, 6cm wide and 13cm long. It does not have feather perfect detail as my aim is just to catch the character of each bird.
