Full description
This is a large hand carved barn owl mounted on a lovely piece of spalted beech. It has hand tinted glass eyes and I have painted it with artists acrylics and then finished it to a soft shine with wax. Apart from cutting the original blank, all of my birds are carved with a hand knife...no electrical carving tools are used.
This lovely owl is life size in profile but is narrow in depth so it will fit comfortably on a shelf. The piece is 31.5cm tall and 28cm across. The owl is 8cm deep and the base is 10.5cm in diameter.
