G'Day and welcome to my shop of jewellery delights! Due to the new EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) rules coming into force from 13 December, I will no longer be shipping to any EU country, which also includes Northern Ireland after this date. Although I ensure all the components I use in my jewellery are safe for consumers, I don't think my business can afford the EU agent that is required.
LAST POSTING DATES: UK - 14 DEC; REST OF WORLD - 1 DEC. Please note, I'm happy to post items after these dates, but delivery speeds can be reduced due to large volume of Christmas post, so Royal Mail cannot guarantee delivery before Christmas.

I love all wildlife and when I saw these cute hedgehog wooden shapes, I couldn't resist to buy some and turn them into some lovely jewellery!
Japanese Washi (or Chyogami) paper is hand screen printed in layers of colour, usually with a gold or silver metallic top detail.

Hedgehog lovers rejoice! Wear these cute hedgehog stud earrings with pride and share your love for these cute prickly and furry friends!
Made from a wooden shape of a hedgehog measuring 2.5cm long by just under 1.5cm high, I've hand painted both front and back in gold metallic acrylic artists quality paint, then added some Japanese washi paper that features metallic gold butterflies, leaves and flowers on a mottled brown background.
To protect the paper, I have added a layer of clear embossing enamel to the front of the paper to make it durable and weather resistant.
The wood is birch plywood and is FSC certified meaning that it is environmentally friendly!
On the back, I have hand painted several coats of gold metallic artists quality acrylic paint and added a layer of clear acrylic varnish, then glued on hypoallergenic surgical steel studs with gold plating to the upper middle of the hedgehog shape, as well as surgical steel (nickel free) butterfly scroll backs. They are perfect for anyone who is sensitive to silver plated or silver jewellery.
These little hedgehog earrings will come to you packed and protected in an eco-friendly, recycled cardboard kraft card earring box that is made by a UK-based company that recycles UK and EU paper/card and will be ready for you to gift or to keep for yourself as a special treat!
