Full description
A square plate / shallow dish in a soft green random patchwork design. The dish measure 15cm square and is approximately 3cm high (max).
It has been made from three layers of glass, which makes it a nice heavy piece for its size. The base layer is very deep green, almost black, with a slight sparkle. The next layer is a soft sage green opaque glass which was hand-cut into random squares. This was topped with a layer of clear glass, cut to the same shape, but slightly smaller than the green squares. The surface of the plate has a slightly ridged texture along the edges of the cut squares, which gives it a lovely tactile feel.
This would make a nice decorative piece, or could be used to hold trinkets, sweets etc.
