I love how "Willow Bough" has been popular for over 100 years - it's so beautiful and timeless. I've been lucky enough to visit Morris's favourite house, Kelmscott Manor near Oxford by the Thames with lots of willow trees by the river bank. And I've been reading and re-reading the Forster novel just about forever, and love the two dramatisations including the recent one. It seemed a perfect combination to embroider the one on the other. Full description
This is a hand embroidered cushion for you, with the famous quote from E. M. Forster's novel "Howards End" on a background of genuine William Morris pure cotton fabric in tones of green with brown boughs. A lovely sentiment and would fit in many interiors. The cushion comes with pad and measures 42 cim X 31 cm. It's got my label sewn in the seam with my hoopoe motif. Thanks for looking and for supporting hand-made!
