A striking floral geometric embroidery on lace backed by burgundy felt, as a contrast to the greens and flame colours of the stitching, forms the design for this lovely bookmark.
A length of white lace has been backed by burgundy felt. Using the lace as a guide, and allowing some of the pattern of the lace to remain visible, careful hand embroidery has been used to create a colourful and detailed design.
The bookmark is edged in blanket stitch in white thread. The bookmark is completed with lace tails, in white, and is backed with a second layer of felt.
Length of embroidered panel: 15 cm approx
Total length, including ribbon tails: 22.5 cm approx
