We were watching Game of Thrones and I thought I'd try to make a dragons egg with scales and wicker texture, so I'm quite pleased with it and it has a beautiful yew finial, (from a yew growing in my parents hedge, a few branches of which I was given for firewood).... I really enjoyed making it on the lathe then adding the phyrography textures, then finally airbrushing the shadows using paynes gray, finally the acrylic lacquer.... hence the high price, it took ages, but good fun, I'd love to sell it so I can make another one.

Softwood, Hand turned and treated with pyrography techniques to have dragons scales and wicker textures , with a lift off lid and finial made from hardwoods and yew, it has been airbrushed with acrylic paint and lacquered with acrylic varnish. 289 grams in weight
