SALE - Previously £16.
This glasses case has been entirely hand-stitched. The front of the case is an embroidered and appliqued, felt scene of a springtime village in miniature - complete with tiny daffodils.
The front of this glasses case has been stitched from 'eco' felt - produced from recycled plastic bottles. Tiny cottages are lined up along the street. Their doors are tiny scraps of coloured felt, their windows are stitched in cotton thread. There are a few trees, just coming into leaf and tiny daffodils are crammed into narrow planting areas. In the foreground, a cheerful post box, with its own collection of daffodils, is situated on the edge of the village green.
The case is lined in a blue and white striped fabric, backed with iron-on interfacing. The reverse of the cover is a blue and white striped canvas fabric. The case is seemed with blanket stitch in a crochet cottons for durability, blue and green used for different parts of the design in order to tone. The case closes with a crocheted loop - using the same blue cotton thread, over a blue button.
