Full description
This beautiful and unique silk bridesmaid's dress is fully smocked across the front and at the cuffs in a toning shiny rayon thread and then further decorated with hand embroidered bullion knot roses. It features a two part collar which is also embroidered with bullion knot roses and French knots and is piped, as is the front yoke.
The dress has a deep tuck at the hem and has a buttoned back opening with gold coloured metal buttons. The dress has long sash ties at the back.
The dress is made from a lovely old gold shade of Dupion silk that has a slightly slubby texture in the weave and has enough body that the dress hangs well in wear and does not need petticoats underneath which a small bridesmaid may find uncomfortable.
The dress is designed to fit a girl of about 4 years old and measures 56 cm at the chest and is 66 cm from the nape of the neck to the hem.
Made to match the dress is a small drawstring bag which features a smocked casing for the hand twisted cord and an embroidered panel to match the dress. The bag measures approximately 21 cm across and 14 cm deep.
It is recommended that the dress and bag should be dry cleaned.
This dress is reduced in price as it has been on display and Rosalind is no longer making children’s clothing.
