Here is a birthday keep sake from a new idea I've had.
Last year I made a Xmas decorations in the same style and they were very popular so I thought Id carry on the idea to birthdays.
I am a fan of the Victorian era so this little decorative doll has a rather serious, yet beautiful and striking face.
I made the body by cutting glass pieces and soldering them together. I glittered a wooden bead for the head, added a face and a silver crown head decoration. The skirt is made from black ribbon with holographic dots and black net. The arms and legs are made from head pins so the limbs freely move about, I've used a mix of bugle beads and Swarovski crystal element beads. All together it makes up this very dramatic and individual birthday keepsake. Inside the glass body is a backdrop of lace and a typed sentiment saying Happy Birthday. This would make an ideal alternative to a birthday card.
I've added a length of ribbon so it can be hung up on a door handle, a bed post or anywhere you want to decorate.
This keepsake will be posted in a box and oodles of bubble wrap.
I plan on making more keepsake dolls with more themes. eg Mothers Day so please visit my shop again.
