A pretty needle book, the cover of which has been created from scraps of vintage printed cottons and a variety of wools and cotton threads.
Snippets of vintage cotton fabrics, in shades of blue, pink and white, were used to make tiny Suffolk puffs which have been stitched in place to represent hollyhock spires. Scraps of white fabric, enhanced with simple embroidery result in roses. Simple hand embroidery stitches in a variety of wools and cotton threads have been used to create smaller roses and a profusion of small daisies and foliage.
The needle book is lined in a pale blue and pink floral print - backed with fusible interfacing, and closes with pale blue ribbon ties. Two pieces of white felt provide four 'pages' for your pins and needles.
