Waders are one of my favourite subjects and redshanks are particularly good with the lovely splash of colour of beak and legs contrasting with the soft tones of the plumage.

Full description
This redshank is hand carved from jelutong (wood) and painted with acrylics. It has hand coloured glass eyes and is finished to a soft shine with wax. It is mounted on a simple pine base that has been painted and rubbed back. It is 27.5cm tall, 31cm wide and is 6cm deep overall. It is a numbered and initialled piece and is unique.
