I have been a painter for many years and recently have enjoyed using fabric and stitch to create pictures. I am inspired by the countryside and small towns of East Anglia UK where I have lived for most of my life. The silk I have used comes from the silk weaving factories in Sudbury Suffolk

Full description
I created this picture using silk fabric remnants with applique and free machine embroidery. I stretched the work over a wooden stretcher frame like a canvas. It measures 15 x 13 cms and is approx. 1cm deep. The back is lined with cotton fabric and has a loop for hanging the picture without a frame, or you can frame it as you wish. The picture comes in a smart dark blue gift box and it could be displayed in the box with the lid removed just propped on a shelf or in a glass cabinet. Free postage in UK.
