Full description
A pure cotton patchwork quilt measuring 68" x 50". Would look great as a coverlet on a single bed. Or, as I've been imagining whilst making it, it would be lovely to snuggle under on a sofa next to a cosy fireplace!
I've spent some time gathering a variety of check, plaid and toning fabrics to give this quilt an old-fashioned, homely look. Some squares dotted through the quilt and border contain images of sheep and just one square contains the Collie dogs assigned to keep the flock in order (hence the quilt's name, 'Where's Collie?')!
The quilt has a pieced backing containing a row of nine-patch blocks and a label giving: it's name; it's maker (that would be me!); a place and date; and washing instructions. I have quilted it on my home sewing machine in a simple diagonal grid pattern to enhance the patchwork pattern.
Washing instructions: the quilt is 100% throughout with 'Warm & Natural' cotton wadding in the centre. It can be machine washed and dried on gentle cycles. The wadding will shrink a little during the first wash giving the quilt a slightly wrinkled, antique finish.
This quilt was designed and made in my smoke-free, pet-free home.
