Pisarro clutch.
Fabric clutch bag with patchwork and embroidered flap. Perfect for a bridesmaid gift, this bag is one of three made with the same fabrics. Due to the nature of the flap design, each one is unique.
This bag is made using a one-off fabric for the flap, made from complimentary fabrics pieced together with machine embroidery and fabric paint.. I made these fabrics myself. Each bag made using this method is therefore absolutely unique.
Main body of bag is a watercolour print cotton fabric, stiffened for strength and stability.
Fully lined in cream cotton.
Fastened with a crochet loop and vintage button.
25 cm wide approximately
15cm tall approximately.
Flap is 11cm deep.
This item will be posted flat but unfolded- any creases can be carefully pressed out with a medium iron and a pressing cloth.
The majority of my items are made from vintage or pre-loved fabrics. I prefer to use pre-used materials if possible as I feel it's essential we reduce the amount of waste we produce and I find so many treasures are discarded nowadays. In a few years it will no longer be possible to landfill clothing items, so I'm doing my little bit to change people's perceptions of recycled. I spend a lot of time unpicking garments and soft furnishings and all are carefully cleaned before use.
